Shopping Smart

How many times have you gone roaming through the sale or clearance rack at a store online or in person, only to find that that store no longer carries your size or color ? It happened to me, so many times that I have lost count. On my most recent sale endeavor I overcame the odds and saved alot more money than anticipated.

I have been eyeing down particular pair of GUESS boots since early last year.

GUESS Barrington Men's Shoes

Imagine these shoes in BLACK

The only problem was that I was not willing to drop $140 for my first pair of boots. I was literally stocking each GUESS store in my city to the point the associates knew my name (ok not really, but you get the point). It wasn’t until a few days ago those bad boys were listed under GUESS’s Sale tab on their website. As soon as I clicked to order those boots, my jaw dropped completely to the floor, because my size and the color of the boots were unavailable. Unfortunately, the time I noticed the sale  was on a weekend. That may have been the longest weekend of my life. I had to hurry and call GUESS’s 1800 number to locate a store in the U.S that carried my size and color. After getting information over the phone and calling a store in California before business hours, ( I had forgotten about the  time difference) I called another store in Texas. Long story short I was able to order my shoes over the phone and have the delivered  way cheaper than  online. Luckily, the store in Texas had the boots on sale for $39.95!!!!!

Moral over the blog is: If you are like TLC and not to embarrass to beg or in my case ask around; your splurging tendencies can be much more justified when you save even more money than you would have in the first place.

Ooh I cannot wait to rock those boots!
